Confuse

Confuse

Choosing a proper and right Wordpress theme can be tough sometimes when there are so many choices on the table, the question should be pointed at you,”What’s the topic of your blog?” By knowing or set a topic it will be a lot of easier for you to find the perfect theme.

Let’s supposed you’ve set a topic for your new blog and it’s ready to run, but before you step further to buy premium theme, consider to read this post because I’d like to share you few tips I listed that may be you can gain something useful from it and hopefully able to help you find the theme you desire and works well! So you can handle some technical confusions and jump into a quick decision to pick which theme that well-matched for your blog.

Remember the following intentionally set as tips to use before buying premium Wordpress theme, but there’s several in the list that able to be applied before choosing free themes too:

1. Make sure the theme has good design and you love it, one of reasons to keep visitor coming back beside quality content and your hospitality as blogger is design of your theme, visitors love to see beautiful and eye-catching view. By installing a well designed theme you’re not just motivating visitors to revisit your blog but also help you, why help me? Well to begin with the question is based on my own experience and several feedback from friends, we are more motivated to maintain our blog with fresh content with design we love. If our visitors love our theme, naturally we do too, perhaps I am one of few bloggers that enjoying to read my newly published article in my own blog or watching my own theme that have already been filled with mass articles, do you do it too?

2. Make sure it’s a smart theme/well structured, a theme is meant to display our entire content so the world can see and enjoy it. But how are we supposed to enjoy calmly if it’s not well-structured? Imagine if you’re at one blog but you are confused with its mussy design, everything is not structured accordingly which leaves us no chance but to scan entire design to find sections needed such as archives, categories, next post…etc. This will create confusion, I believe no matter how good your content is people would put your blog in the last position on the list to find information after they don’t find it in other places. So make sure you’re theme is smart.

3. Make sure the theme load faster, I know there are techniques to speed up theme loading times and have been shared widely by WP community, and other aspect such hosting and ISP give influential effects to loading time but having one that load fast by default will not kill a cat, how to test theme fast click on theme demo button and count how much times it for your browser to display it in full. By this we’ll have a crude reference the theme’s performance on other browsers.

4. Make sure it’s Widget support, if you’re not a HTML expert in order to operate a WordPress maintained site you can put this aspect on your list. But mostly current Wordpress themes are widget support, especially premium ones.

5. And the last and not less important is SEO optimized theme and valid code, SEO optimized is a must to help your blog to climb up to the wanted position on Google, although we can do external optimization such as link building campaign but internal aspect of theme has significant role too, and valid code take role as supporter to lightens Google bots while roaming your theme to pick any date to be stored in database, but having valid code can be impossible since it’s set with very strict rules.

6. Has been tested on most used browsers (like Firefox, IE, Google Chrome Opera and Safari). Don’t be fool with the beautiful appearance you see from your own internet browser, because you don’t know how the theme will look in other internet browsers. So make sure you test the theme in all browsers or at least the most used browsers.

7. Support facility, in case you make awful mistake while tweaking around with your theme or disparately in need of technical support, you can ask assistance from theme support team to bring everything back as it was or improving your theme performance.

To be honest the hardest thing to choose Wordpress themes available both free or premium themes, is not because Wordpress lack of well-design themes instead because of great designs overwhelm us to which many WP fans set addition aspects in hand while thinking of purchasing premium themes or installing free themes for their blogs.

I hope the simple and brief tips above can be a hint for your as starting point before hit the “Buy” button.

Good day & see you!
